Bridging the gap between robust Java backend systems and scalable DevOps pipelines. I automate infrastructure, containerize applications, and engineer serverless APIs.
The human behind the infrastructure and code.
Hello! I'm Sandeep Konda, a passionate software engineer based in Hyderabad, India. I started my journey deep in the trenches of DevOps, mastering Linux systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
Realizing that true scalability requires deep application-level knowledge, I expanded my expertise into Java Backend Development. Today, I operate at the intersection of both disciplines.
I don't just write code; I design how it's packaged, how it scales, and how it survives in production. Whether I'm decoupling a monolith into Spring Boot microservices or writing Terraform scripts to spin up a Kubernetes cluster, my goal is always the same: reliability, security, and performance.
A timeline of my professional journey and technical milestones.
Currently acting as a dual-threat engineer. I architect decoupling strategies for legacy applications using Spring Boot and manage the complete deployment lifecycle via AWS EKS, Jenkins, and Terraform. Successfully reduced API response times and deployment failure rates across multiple client projects.
Managed massive cloud migrations and automated infrastructure provisioning. Authored CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins, containerized monoliths using Docker, and established observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana) that reduced MTTR (Mean Time To Resolution) by 40%.
Dedicated significant time to mastering the Java ecosystem (Spring, Hibernate) to bridge the gap between operations and development, culminating in my transition to full-stack backend architecture.
Automating the path from local code to highly available cloud infrastructure with built-in security and monitoring.
A high-level view of how my microservices handle incoming traffic, process events, and manage data within an AWS Cloud environment.
Core technologies I use to build, secure, and deploy enterprise applications.
Architecting decoupled microservices and production-grade APIs.
Designing scalable, fault-tolerant environments on AWS.
Managing isolated deployment environments and clusters.
Building zero-downtime deployment pipelines.
Designing asynchronous communication between microservices.
Managing schema design and multi-tenant logic.
Real-world systems architecture and backend engineering solutions.
Engineered a Spring Boot backend handling complex multi-vendor cart calculations and GST tax compliance. Designed strictly decoupled logic methods allowing frontend and external service teams to easily integrate pricing logic without altering core cart mechanisms or existing coupon services.
Developed a high-throughput event streaming platform to process async background tasks across microservices. Implemented Apache Kafka as the message broker to ensure zero data loss during high traffic spikes, coupling it with Spring WebFlux for reactive API responses.
Architected highly scalable backends using AWS serverless components and managed production rollouts for frontend applications. Handled build cycles while managing robust IAM roles, S3 bucket policies, and distributing content globally via CloudFront.
Built a scalable microservices platform using Kubernetes, featuring automated CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and comprehensive monitoring using Prometheus & Grafana. Reduced deployment friction and ensured high availability across distributed nodes.
